First Prize

The first prize features a 40"x30" print. The digital source material is over 100 Megapixels large.
With this kind of Ultra Large Digital Source, the 40"x30" print offers amazing detail not obtainable by Film Photographers or even the latest generation of Digital Hardware.

The frame is not included.

The first prize will be awarded to the "best" Travel Guide contribution. We will pre-select several contributions and let our users vote in a poll.

Second Prize

Get one amazing Panoramic Print.
The Panoramic Print is about 36" by 12".

Panoramic Prints are available from many different locations. The example shown is a panoramic print of
Glen Canyon Dam
You can choose from different Locations like:
Crater Lake
Yosemite

and others.
Panoramic shots are also created using the same Ultra High Resolution Technique.

Again the frame is not included.

The second prize will be awarded to the most active user. Just about everything you do on OpenTravelInfo.com will earn you User Points. Obviously writing Travel Guide Pages will earn you substantially more points than voting on a node.

Third Prize

The third prize is a fine art print in 12"x9" size. Just about any image on our sponsors site qualifies.

The third prize will be awarded in close situations. This means if a Travel Guide Page wins by a small margin, the second place will receive this picture, if a User has only marginally more points than a second user, the second user will also receive this print.

Rules

We don't like rules much. So we try to keep it short ;-)

  1. We will pay shipping inside the continental US. If you live somewhere else, you will have to pay the difference.
  2. Votes on other users content do not influence their ranking (although you get one userpoint per vote ;-) ). With this we want to avoid unfair voting. So vote fair.
  3. Obviously our Terms of Service (ToS) have to apply to any content you create (You have to own copyrights for all images and you have to be the creator of content, Do not copy, Do not steal ....)
  4. Violations to ToS or rude behavior towards other users will result in your exclusion from this contest.
  5. It is at our discretion to exclude users from the contest for misbehavior.
  6. Independent Entries are Entries not written by user "andre", who are either submitted via email directly to us or uploaded directly on our site. Emailed articles are submitted by user "toptraveller" but will be credited to the respective authors. Users "toptraveller" and "andre" are not eligible for the "most active user" prize.
