Galleria di Vetro was founded with the idea that glass should not be a delicate form, art should be interactive. Glass is known as a fragile medium, and it should be respected, but there is beauty in the strength, power and presence a work of glass can have. These same ideals are shown through the demeanor of owners Kyle and Nicole Carni's business practices. Live glassblowing illuminates the gallery at all times of the day. Kyle and Nicole also differentiate their business with their unique skills and out of the box ways: coming to one's home and making sure a piece works in the designated space, as well as it works in the gallery is just one example. Custom pieces are also an option - with a wide variety of colors and styles for one to work with.
Classes are also offered in all different forms of glass: flameworking, bead and pendant making, marble madness, fusing, stained glass, PMC, ornament making... even kids classes. Once you are hooked on this ancient art form, you can take this set of skills to a home studio, which the Galleria will help you set up. Galleria di Vetro sells all the supplies that are used in studio and makes all of their resources available to their students.
Aside from all these specialties, Galleria di Vetro features both world renowned artist, such as Hans Godo-Frable, Shane Fero, Robert Mickelsen and John Blazy; local artists such as James Stanford, Jason Lott and Sharon Campfield; and resident artists Kyle and Nicole Carni
Galleria di Vetro is part of The Gallery Group of Flagler Avenue and participates in Art Walk, every fourth Saturday of the month. Live jazz, glassblowing demonstrations and free wine tasting is just part of the fun the Galleria offers. Just imagine the other fun that fills the street.
Galleria di Vetro truly is a Unique Experience in Glass.
