How do you prevent stagnation?

After graduation from college, we work and after doing all work and play afterwards, we find ourselves stagnating and not learning anything new. Aside from going back to school, what other things do you do to fight stagnation?

Inevitable

I think this is something we cannot avoid. I think after a certain age we all have a harder time remembering new things.

For me, development comes with experience. In my job as an engineer I develop lots of new circuits. Once I came up with a new solution all by myself, it sticks. If I am told something new, I won't remember it as well.

So basically just make sure that you figure things out for yourself and you will defenitely remember.

I have been having this

I have been having this problem as I get older. Finding it hard to remember while studying. I would love some advice on how to fight it as well. I think the older you get the harder it is.

I am thinking. When we get

I am thinking. When we get older, not much rote memory will work. Perhaps it is the experiencing of these new things that helps us prevent stagnation. The chances to learn by doing, experiencing and some of the ways to prevent stagnation, we must take them. There are many kinds of intelligence and when we studied, we have developed logical intlligence, mathematical and others... When we get older, maybe it's about time to develop other areas, e.g., spatial smartness, interpersonal, intrapersonal and many others. We got to learn other things that interest us.

???

c'mon, we're not that old....don't want to scare off young ppl in this forum, do we...
