Discovery Atlas
There is a new travel show on. I am watching it right now.
Discovery Atlas is a two hour show, that is somehow different from most other travel shows. They tell many stories about a country. They pick stories of peoples lives and let them tell it. They cover culture, curiosities and a whole lot more. I really enjoy watching it.
Currently I am watching Australia and last week I saw Brazil. Its still a very new show and I am looking forward to more. Australia is narrated by Russel Crowe.
They showed native Australians, Bush People, Sheep Farmers, Comedians, Lifeguards and much more. It was a pretty good in depth coverage of the country.
I am sure it will be shown in other countries as well, maybe a little later.

Oh yes i caught the one when they were in Brazil but i hate the fact that while the young girl was speaking they didnt give a direct translation of what she was saying. so far i like the way they are doing the program hopefully they will continue to get better.
Kudos to the ones who created this discovery atlas... I am sure it is very useful. I would be happy if it reaches our place because it gives us an idea of the culture of many countries in the comfort of our homes.
I wasn't aware they were already showing it in the UK.
Admittedly some parts are less interesting than others when watching the show. But its good entertainment and one can learn a lot about a country and its culture.
