Travel Light

Travel Light

This is one suggestion that I have to make to everybody. It is not easy to travel with many things, especially if you're only going to stay for a day or two. As for me, I don't want to keep on bringing many things and bags with me while travelling because we are so mobile. Also, what I do is to put the things I need in small containers, bringing only good for the no. of days/times that I am away. As for the clothes, I don't think we need to really change everyday (except for underwears, of course :) ), maybe just bring the type of clothes which are lighter.

I think that kind of

I think that kind of depends on where you're traveling to.  It's easy to carry less if you know you're going to be somewhere where you can easily do laundry, or you can easily purchase things you may need.  But if you're traveling to a location you're really not familiar with, it might be better to make sure you have a little extra of things you may need.

I think this is a very good

I think this is a very good suggestion for all Women to remember. I just wish they could actually do it. Already the first one came and objected.

Actually, we can do travel

Actually, we can do travel light for short trips.

I feel so tired looking at my colleagues before. We'll just have a 3 day trip and with all the baggages with rollers. I wonder what they're putting in? What I mean is that, for trips like these short, I usually bring only a little shampoo, soap which is just enough and clothes that would also be just right until we're back home. I have always prepared small bottles for these utilities that we bring on trips so that you'd not have to keep on bringing the big containers of shampoo, etc.

I don't do that anymore. Remember how nervous everyone was about liquids on planes. If you put shampoo in a small bottle and label it shampoo it may trigger a bag search. I'd rather keep the stuff in the original containers.

But you can also buy smaller travel sized shampoo bottles.

In our country, these kinds

In our country, these kinds of security check ups with regards to bottles/containers and their contents, etc., aren't done yet so it didn't come to my mind that there would be a possibility that we might have a hard time.

However, thanks Andre and perhaps it will be better to bring sachets instead of bottles :) , they are also lighter, don't you think so?

Possibly, but I am a guy.

Possibly, but I am a guy. Usually I pack some shower gel and I use it for my hair too (head and shoulders). A toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and after shave.

Thats all I need. If I only go for a couple of days I don't even bother bringing a razor and after shave.

I am always in trouble

I am always in trouble packing to much when we travel. I used to be terriable. I dont know why but I used to think but what if I decide I want to wear that today but I didnt have it. I have found a bit of a solution. I find that if you only pack a couple of pairs of jeans or slacks or skirts even and just mix and match them with different shirts. You can wear a pair of Jeans a couple of times during a week.

Yeah, I guess all women have this in common. But consider this, if you just don't take it with you, you won't have to decide what to wear once you are on vacation and you will save your hubby a lot of time Wink

You're right, Andre.

You're right, Andre. Travelling light will save time and the effort of bringing all those heavy baggages....
