I am German. What makes me proud is that Germany is renowned for its high quality craftsmanship, its high class education and its dedicated workforce.

ouch! most countries in europe spent twice as much on education. most parts (engines and electronics for porsche for example) of this expensive german cars are assembled very cheap in cz or sk and then reimported to germany.

but you can still drive fast in germany (except you hit a construction site, traffic jam or bad wheather) or get great porn at almost every newsagent or videostore (a least thats what i heard!) or catch some meat disease

Well globalization is hitting Germany too, but there are a lot of cars still being manufactured in Germany. Audi for instance builds most (all?) of them in Ingolstadt and I think BMW produces in Germany too.

I think the Cayenne is assembled in Hungary but the 911 runs off the assembly lines in Stuttgart.

Videostores and Newsstands offer everything, but not to underaged people. In videostores there is usually a seperate section for this. Generally I think the premise here is that they assume people to be more responsible by themselves.
