I was recently bumped by American Airlines (well actually the flight was delayed so I missed the connection).
AA put us in the worst possible hotel you can imagine (a Days INN near the airport in Dallas) away from any restaurant business. No food vouchers no nothing. People had to go to bed hungry or order Pizza at their own expense. After killing a big roach in the hotel and getting back pain from the worn out mattress I was allowed to continue my flight in the morning.

Sounds like an absolutely awful experience Andre. Reminds me of a hotel my husband and I had to stay at while we were on a trip last year. Dark and dingy, and the light fixture in the bathroom was held to the drop ceiling with packaging tape. I kept looking in the corners of the room for roaches and/or mice. Very uncomfortable. Thank goodness it was only one night.
