CMS

The most powerful CMS ever is Typo3. It is being used for many corporate websites:

The easiest CMS to set up is Joomla.

A good tradeoff is Drupal (very powerful and configurable, but not as easy to theme)

i am going to give it a try

i am going to give typo3 a try and see how it works out.

I think you picked the

I think you picked the hardest one to work with.

I also believe it is more resource intensive than any other. No question it is the most powerful one too, but I think it will also be the hardest one to master. So be prepared for some frustrating experiences.

They do have good video tutorials that should be a good starting point.

well i guess the best thing

well i guess the best thing to do is to look at all your suggestion and see which i think will be more suitable for me , i think it is also best if i do a bit of research and see what people are saying about each cms.

careful

When you ask people about that its like asking for the perfect Operating System. A fight breaks out and everyone pushes the one they use.

I tried to be as objective as possible. Joomla is very widely used but has a lot of shortcomings (in my opinion that is). So you will probably hear a lot of recommendations for that one. However its like phpBB. Due to its widespread use it is frequently targetted by hackers and truly clean urls are only achievable with a plugin that costs money. There is an alternative but it isn't really that good. The benefits are its ease of use and its many available (not always free) templates. So if you want something done quick, go for it. But if you have long term goals, you will soon find out that there are a lot of limitations.

Joomla is probably best for Content Sites while Drupal is much better for community sites. Typo3 is probably best for corporate sites. That doesn't mean one cannot do a community site with Joomla, just that you are more limited.

Either way there is no "right" or "wrong" cms. Some are better at one thing others are better at another thing. Drupals whole Taxonomy idea is extremely powerful and useful, but it takes a while to wrap your head around it. Once you start to understand it, you do not want to miss it. It allows infinite levels of hierarchy and classification with defenition of parents and relationsships. This makes organizing content a breeze.

CMS?

What is CMS? What can I do with it?

CMS = Content Management

CMS = Content Management System. Its a system to run database driven websites.
