Bruno the Bear mocks Germans
For over a month I have been following the news of a bear nicknamed "Bruno" that crossed the border from Austria into Germany. This is the first bear in Germany for 170 years.
What I find really amusing is the fact that Bruno keeps eluding his catchers. People are scared of him, because he has lost his fear of men and comes into peoples farms mauling sheep.
Just yesterday Bruno got hit by a car, but ran off without any apparent injury. There was some talk about putting him down, but Bruno escaped to Austria and came back later. Now they just want to sedate him and maybe put him into a zoo.
I think the way Bruno is mocking his would be catchers is simply hilarious. Some hotels in the area are offering bear packages and believe it or not, people are coming to see the bear. Meanwhile countries like Canada and Russia with lots of bear experience are laughing.
I hope Bruno does not get caught, but he should stop killing peoples livestock. Otherewise:

That’s story is hilarious its seems the bear is mocking the German just as they did David beckham, the Bild launched a 'vicious attack on Beckham's family' branding his sister 'fat', his mom having a smile of a 'peasant', and his two sons 'dwarfs'.
Accusing Joanne of not being a "professional sister", the German paper reportedly said: "Dear me, she is chubby. Arms, bust, bum, all very British. Joanne is the sort of girl who drinks sangria on the beach in Majorca. And then dances on a table with her top off."
About his mum, the paper said she had a peasant smile, and added: "Mama-ham, Sandra, 50 - the superstar mother with the peasant smile. Ex-hairdresser, a Robbie Williams fan. After the divorce from Beckham's dad Ted a kitchen fitter, she's single again."
Following the German paper's 'vile' report, Beckham is said to be fuming but keeping a dignified silence.

The Bild is en par with the British newspaper "Sun". You should not pay attention to what they are saying. The Sun is famous for ridiculing Germans, as they did with the German Chancelor about 2 months ago. In fact the Sun is worse than the Bild ever will be in painting a pretty bad picture about the German people.
There are a few very popular magazines (Bild, Sun, Enquirer ...) that should not be read let alone cited.
Beckhams reaction (silence) is the only way to deal with such boulevard press reports.
The Chancellor did the same. Just ignore them. They feed off anger and hate and they do everything to bring those things up.

Please do not make the mistake to think that the Bild represents the opinion of the German people. Just about every German newspaper ridicules them. They appeal to lower class mindless drunks.

Obviously i wouldn’t take what they are saying too seriously, it is quite clear that they just wanted to wine David Beckham up; it was surprising that major news channel actually where reporting it.

Because british press likes to beat on Germans. They will never get it out of their system. And the mob is asking for it. The German press is not that much better. Should have seen the storm that stupid Sun article caused in the German press. I bet the Brits hadn't even known of it before the big fuzz. I think the whole picture the press is painting of the other is totally skewed.
Eventually any press is good press. Whatever keeps people in the news makes them happy.
Besides, from your quotes I have not seen anything being said against David himself and for all I know the rest may very well be true.
I couldn't care less if the Sun would call Cora Schumacher (Michaels Wife) names. Somehow I cannot feel sorry for people making this kind of money. Its only natural that they will not only receive rosy coverage either. Give me his money and I will take all the bad press you can throw at me.

Coming back to the original subject. My sympathies are with Bruno. I hope he doesn't hurt anyone and that he can escape his potential captors.
