How do you book your holiday

How do you normally book your holiday, do you book it on the internet or do you do it in person?

Caribbean Beaches

Online

I always book online. I can get better prices and do all my research this way. Its the most hassle free and I can be sure that I am not being talked into something I don't like.

We always book ours online

We always book ours online since we booked a holiday to mexico a few years back through a local travel agentcy and it was the worse trip ever. I dont mean Mexico itself, that was great. It was just all the mix up with the booking agency. The accomadation was not right, the hire car was not right and our flights where mixed up so that my husband ended up on a flight eight hours after me and the children. I find booking online myself is a lot better and I know if a mistake is made it is my fault. I also find that you sometimes get a bit better price booking online, some places give you discounts.

Priceline

I recently gave Priceline.com a try and to my surprise everything went very well. I was able to save quite a bundle. Just today I got me a car for next weekend in San Diego for only $14/day. Can't get that kind of deal anywhere else I guess.

I agree with Andre. There are many advantages in booking online. First, it is very convenient and you can do it anytime you like. Second, there are many sites that lists down all the airlines and their packages/flight details and so it would not be hard for you to compare them. Third, almost everything that you need to know are just one click away. :)

We've been making our

We've been making our arrangements online most recently (since we've moved to Missouri), but when we lived in Michigan, I had a friend who was a travel agent.  She would take care of the arrangements for us, and she'd give us a deal because we were friends.  It's easier to let someone else handle the details.

I tried the travel agent

I tried the travel agent route for booking a flight to Lima once, but after calling so many travel agents, none of them could give me a better deal than booking online.

I guess it may also depend on where you are going, don't know. I have never been able to get any better deal than booking online.

I usually book online. I

I usually book online.

I think it's the best way.

Online

Online. it's quick and convenient.

doing thinks online is just

doing thinks online is just a way of life these days. you cant go to a recruitment company over here any more else they will tell you to go online and apply. i hope travel agencies dont start to do the same thing.

ha, where is the fun and

ha, where is the fun and adventure if you just "book" your holiday?! i just pack my stuff together, get the next plane/train and then score some accomodation via couchsurfing.com or clubs like that, or just arrive in a city and stay in the next hotel/hostel if you like it there.

this way you are never disapointed like "he, i havent seen the sewer channel next to my room at this book-your-travel-here website?!". oh and youre totally flexible and dont have to stay 14 days at the same city in the same hotel.

We normally book online but

We normally book online but our latest holiday to NewZealand for next year we have booked through our local travel agency. Mainly because of the great deal and price's we received as they have a birthday celebration on.
