Does anybody have any suggestions of 'must see' things in London that aren't generallly known? I've visited London several times now and I think I saw the most touristic things. It's always fun to explore new places or cultural things.
well if you havent been on the london eye , thats a must do when you are in london , and as andre has said tell us what you have seen and then we will give you idea on where to go.
We visited London five years ago now. My husband grow up in London and has a couple of relatives still living there. The top sites on my our list where:
Oxford Street- a must when visiting London
tower of London
Camden Markets- You will shop to you drop here.
St Paul's Cathedral is a must
My favourtie was the Covent Garden It has a hugely diverse selection of shops, eateries, bars, a market selling art, crafts, antiques and souvenirs, historic buildings, theatres, the Royal Opera House and fantastic free entertainment provided by street entertainers and musicians. If you can’t find something to capture your interest at the Convent Garden there is something wrong.
i seriously dont see why tourist would want to visit Oxford Street unless they come from country that doesnt have any clothing stores because that all Oxford Street has to offer really.
I have friends who fly to New York for shopping (from Europe). It always boggles my mind why someone would do this, but believe it or not, a lot of people do this kind of thing.
There are people flying to Germany to drink beer (Octoberfest) and they come from as far away as Australia. Again, makes me wonder why they are not coming to visit some really cool places instead choose to get wasted.
I guess the answer is simple. We are all different.
(But thanks for pointing that out Callis, since I am not a shopper myself I can skip over it when visiting London).
Over the weekend there was a massive Festival on the banks of the thames, straight up to tower Bridge, i took a few photos so you can have a look at places to visit if you ever visit london.
House of Parliment
I took this from the london eye, they day was very Cloudy so most of the pictures i took came out a bit cloudy, this was my second time on BA london eye.

Check out the London pages at <spam> there are photographs and reviews of many London activities and attractions. Links to a number of related websites and guides are also provided, so you should have no problem finding something which intrigues you!
Pierre, you are very persistant. I delete your account and you come back under a different name. The other day you spammed this board with 3 posts (all the same text full of links) and as I found out later, spammed comments on some of my friends weblogs (I guess you were mining through my links right?) with the same text?
How about contributing something useful instead of just promoting your sites? You know how useful works right? People will recognize you for what you know and visit your pages. Instead you spam this board again?
I am keeping your account open this time, but I removed the html links. Maybe you have something useful to say some day?
the saturday when i took the picture of the house of parliment wasnt that gray but some how it came up very gloomy, the picture of tower bridge was on the sunday and it was very sunny and nice, they even had a small beach on the bank of the thames.
I found this London guide while I was looking for information to prepare for our trip. I found it very informative, with descriptions and fees for the different London sites. You may want to check it out, too.
Since you have been there so many times, why not tell us what you saw and how you liked it?
