Whats the strangest thing you have eaten? i was speaking to a friend of mine from spain and he was telling me that it is typical for people in the north to eat horse meat which isnt the most tender meat to eat.
When my friend and I went on a tour to Hongkong, we were able to go to Shanghai, China for one day. There we ate very delicious food, it was being cooked just like the way we cook our food in the Philippines. When we finished eating, only then we knew that what we were eating were actually snakes, frogs, etc. yuuccck!! we couldn't believe afterwards that we're done eating all those kinds of food. We couldn't forgive ourselves for eating them.
As long as it tastes good, I don't mind any of that. I don't even call it strange but I know most of you would . Tongue is a delicatessy in some areas of the world. I don't eat brain anymore (its too easy to contract a disease) and Alpaca is the most common meat in Peru.
i would never try brains, it looks really gross and from what i have heard it taste gross also, i have had chicken feet which some people would think it is nasty but it is really good as long as it doesnt have the nails on it.
Well when i first moved to france it was realy weird to taste things such as frogs' legs and snails for instance, I never realy got the fuss about frog's legs, it tastes a little like rabbit but their's nothing exceptional about them and their's nothing to eat on them either, but when it comes to snails i just love them!!!! They are like heaven when served with the green garlic butter, now we often have them for xmas or the new years eve and have at least 12 each when that happensĀ
The strangest food I have ever ate was greek food. My girl friend and her husband are Creek. They had a few of us over and served us many different greek foods. There was not one thing that I liked. If I had to eat that kind of food I would starve.
We've been on vacation and tasted some exotic foods. They are already cooked and dined, we happily eating together when the native cook asked our comment on the foods. We said they are great with, he then said they are farm frogs and fruit bats. I didn't noticed any difference they just taste like chicken.
In the Philippines there's this food called "balut" that is a fertilized duck egg sold on the streets and eat it with a salt. but hey, the taste is not bad as how it appears to be.
Gotta drink more milk for more calcium turning teeth stronger.

I guess I had my fair share of strange foods:
Pig Brain
Cow Tongue
Alpaca (Llama like creatures)
