Moving abroad

Moving abroad

where in the world would you live other than where you are currently?

New Zealand

If given the chance, I would love to go to New Zealand and live there and stay there for good!

I like the places there, and there are few people.  Nature is still fresh and their government really takes care of immigrants (hope I am going to be one of them) until they will be able to settle and adjust to their system.

South America

Hard to say, maybe South America. People are very friendly over there.

Nope. They want you to be able to do that before becoming a citizen. Something other countries like the US have been doing for a long time already. You can move there without speaking the language and knowing about the country if you have a valid visa. Again this is nothing new.

The Dutch government is thus just catching up with other countries. Quite honestly, if you want to become a citizen of a country, you should be able to know these things.

If you are from the UK (assumption based on your signature), you can live in the Netherlands without any visa or any other requirements.

The thing is the program i

The thing is the program i was watching was following some people from turkey and one lady wanted to go over there and work and they said that she had to learn the language before she goes there. there was this other guy also who was living there for a while then he went back to turkey because his dad was sick, now while he was there the law changed. now he is trying to get back over there to his wife and they will not allow it as he doesnt speak the language and he doesnt know about the culture, then againg it actually cost a lot of money to take all the test in turkey. its really bad that he has been living there for a while yet he does speak the language.

Hm

That was new to me. I always thought that this is a test for citizenship. But that shouldn't be too bad, because people can still go to other countries within the European Union without the need for tests and then just cross the border to the Netherlands. There aren't any borders left anyways.

Holland was one of the easiest countries to go to know the new law has made it one of the most difficult.

Italy

Me, my hubby and some friends would love to move to Italy.  It seems everything is more relaxed out there and the weather is definitely a lot better than here in Belgium.  I also really like their language, it sounds so romantic ;)

I think it sounds rather schmalzy (corny). They certainly maintain their gigolo reputation rather well.

If I had to move I too would like to move to New Zealand. I just love New Zealand we have traveled there now three times. The people are friendly. I just love their culture and it is similar to Australian culture.
