I love Mexican food. They have some amazing cusine. I like cochinita pibil (pork pibil style). Its pork that has simmered in a pot for the better part of a day. Its incredibly tender, juicy and spicy.
The french are said to have good food too, but I cannot confirm or deny. Although I have been in France before, I could have missed the good stuff.
I like Italian food too, but I haven't been in Italy yet.
Greek food is another one of my favorites. Its a little heavy and garlicy though, but I like it a lot.

I also love mexican food. Only thing is I can not find a good mexican restarant here in Australia. If anyone knows of one PLEASE let me know.
I love Mexican food. Fortunately, I don't have to go far to get it. My mother-in-law is Mexican, and she's one of the best cooks ever. Also, we live in a Mexican neighborhood, there are probably a dozen authentic mexican restaurants within a mile or two of our house. Some of them are within walking distance.
I like Persian food too. I forgot to mention that above, but some of the stuff is really good. If you get a chance try it out. It is usually very healthy.

what kind of food does the Persian normally cook

Rice and Kebob. Not too much fat on those. Lamb, Pork and Beef. The rice usually has safran on it (tastes really good) and the meet is usually grilled. I guess its somewhat similar to Greek but with less garlic.

I am german and irish, but my favorite food is Italian. I could eat it everyday. I have not found one thing I don't like.
I love Mexican food, too! I really can't get enough of it, and luckily there are several places nearby that serve "authentic" Mexican cuisine.
My favorite would have to be Italian food. I could eat Italian almost every night if my husband would allow me to. I do like Mexican food but some of it is just to spicy for me.
I love *true* Italian food. Over here in the States, many people think Italian food is pizza and spaghetti. Oh, no! I love food from Northern Italy with the sausage and the more mild sauces. We have a few autentic Italian restaurants in our area (one with a woman who grew up in Sicily) The food is SO GOOD!
Dishes from Portugal or southern France actually taste like ocean and sunshine - fresh produce and seafood drenched in olive oil. How can you go wrong taste or healthwise? Cuisine from other parts of France is a bit heavy on cream or sweets for me, but Mediterranean fills you up without making you feel stuffed.
Ocean and sunshine...haven't heard that used before, but I think it describes the food perfectly! It is another of my favorites, because the food doesn't tend to be "heavy."
The best variety of food in the entire world is found in the United States. Only in America do you find a town with a population of under 5000 that can offer Italian, Mexican and Asian food. Other countries would require a trek into a larger area.
I love the food stalls in Marrakech. They have everything from kebab stalls to snail stalls. I also think that when you travel, you should always try the local food. It's an experience itself! :)
I love it all. I think we should make the ability to bring in a new cuisine a prime criterion for immigration.
what a great topic. There are so many great nations with great cuisines. I love Italian (of course) but Afghan food is also amazing. I would say Polish is my third favorite, its typically not very healthy, but still delicious.
Interesting. The other day I spotted an Afghan restaurant and I was wondering what kind of food they serve and if I should go there.
Now I want a pirogie (sp?) and kielbasa.
Perogi, cabbage rolls, schnitzel. Things that are hard to spell but oh so good.
Afghan food typically includes lots of lamb (which I am not a huge fan of), but they have excellent vegetarian dishes. I would recommend giving it a try.
I have to admit though I love Mexican food you can't beat the good old Australian barbie. So nice. when it isnt raining of course.
For me, one of the beauties of traveling alot is sampling different kinds of food ...I'm partial to any thing hot and spicy, which usually comes from countries with hotter climates although I inifinitely seem to prefer cold weather countries on the whole lol.
One of the disappointing things in Chiang Mai was how much they had toned down the spices in any place that had lots of tourists as customers. Once, everything was spicy, some things more than others, but now you can get green chili curry that apparently has no chilis in it. In fact that's the norm.
Oh, I know, and I hate that they've toned it down. I once read that chili or other hot spices are more or less a preservative for meats and the reason you see it more in hot climates is exactly that ...it's hot and it's harder to keep meat.
they have this nice pizza restaurant here, go ther sometimes on the weekend. the great thing is that they have a free hotspot there, so i can do some stuff while i wait for the pizza. then the pizza comes, tastes great and they charge me $26, even if the cart says $22 for seafood pizza.
hm whatever :)
