Duty Free in England

When travelling to England how much Duty Free can you bring back with you? My Father is leaving for England next month and is not sure? Does anyone know?

I don't know if there is a monetary value, but usually its something like 1-2 Liters of Alcohol, 1 carton of cigarettes and so on. Usually I find that I can buy more than I need.

That is the same with most countries. I don't think England is an exception.
