Any Advise on New Zealand
Has anyone any good suggestions for accomadation in New Zealand. We where going to go for a package deal but now want to travel on our own at our own pace and see the things we want to see. We want to go the the South Island first for the snow season? Any great sites we should make sure we put into our trip?

I think you should getter better deals with a package. At least you don't have to think everything through. If you have been there before though and know exactly what you want, you can book individual hotels.
Here are some things to do:
South Island
Kaikoura: whale watching and swimming with dolphins
Abel Tasman NP: kayaking, hiking, swimming with seals
Oamaru: Penguin watching
Marlborough: wineries
North Island:
Swim with the dolphins in Paihia, Bay of Islands
Waiheke Island and Hawkes Bay: Good wineries
The Papa Museum in Wellington
Rotorua: geysers

Thanks for your adivse Cy I can't wait to see the penguins and I am going to swim with the Dolphins. I have done that once over here in Australia, In Queensland, and was over the moon it was a fantastic experience would recommend it to any one.
It's a once in a lifetime experience. The creatures are so gentle and so wonderful. I think it will be really good for you and your unborn child.
It is really nice in New Zealand because of the nature. It is good that forums are here nowadays because we are able to gather links to the best with the help of the sites about the things that interest us. Like the ones that were mentioned in this thread, they are really great sites worth visiting.
We have stayed at the Hukalodge three times now while in New Zealand I would recomend it to anyone check out the website you will love it.

Europe Beach
Yes, it does look nice but they are way out of my price limit, at least what I would be willing to spend. OMG:
Our high season tariff applies, being:
Single: NZ$1,615.00 per night
Dbl/Twn: NZ$1,150.00 per person per night
Suite: NZ$2,055.00 per person per night
Triple: NZ$930.00 per person per night
Conversion Rates:
1NZ$ = 0.6336US$ = 0.489EURO = 0.8418AU$ = 0.3373 British Pounds
That means 2 people are paying almost US$1460 a night ?
What kind of place is this anyways?
