Alphabeth Game
This is an ordinary thread from other travelling forums. But let's add something here to make it more fun. Instead of just posting the next place following the first letter of the previous post, we would add comments about that place. There will be 2 important things to write in the comment. The first one is the best thing that can be found or be done in that place. The second is the disadvantage of that place. Because of this, the person who posts next will have to search for what is the good and the bad of that place. I would start:
Alberta, Canada
I like this place for my aunt and uncles are there already. I would like to join them someday and also have a work there.
I heard that Alberta, specifically Calgary has the worst weather in Canada. The worst snow fall there. I might be wrong but that's what my relatives tell me.

Hm, interesting approach.
Next one:
Berlin, Germany
The capital of my home country.
Good things: Lots of history and culture and Berliner Weisse. Thats some sort of wheat beer that is mixed raspberry extract or some green extract (forgot what it was). It is the most refreshing drink and you can get it almost everywhere in Berlin. Don't miss out on that.
Bad things: Berlin is pretty big and as with most big cities there are areas that are not so nice. Old slab buildings mark those areas.

I'm next:
Minmi, Newcastle, Australia
The town where I live
Good things: Living ten minutes away from suburban but living in the country. Just love it. Waking up to the sound of cows and horses in the fields around my house.
Bad things: Becoming to populated. When I first moved here five years ago there was not many people or houses but over the years it is starting to get more families wanting to move from the city. Freezing in the Winter and I mean Freezing.
Hey Tay,
This doesn't count. You were supposed to find a town that starts with C
(the 1st letter following the 1st of the previous post), the previous was Berlin. This time it's the turn for C.
S.
Yeah, Sunflower is correct. Usually I should not be posting the next, as I posted the letter B already, but since there were some posts in between, here it is:
Cuzco, Peru
Good things: Location, Location, Location. Located in the Andean Mountains surrounded by ancient Inca ruins and some wonderful colonial architecture this is one of the most beautiful cities in Peru.
Bad things: Altitude (not as high as other places in Peru but already some people have trouble), Children selling something can be quite annoying and will follow you around a bit
So the next letter is D

Dresden, Germany
good things:
Probably the most beautiful City in Germany, Dresden is a World Heritage Site, a place full of culture and tradition. Lots of things to see and to do. Take a boat trip on the River Elbe to Pillnitz Castle and don't miss out on the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), famous all over the world, that has just been rebuilt (got destroyed in World War II)
bad things:
not that I'd remember any.....
Sunflower
so next will be EEEEEE
bad things:
not that I'd remember any.....
Traffic across the river Elbe during rush hour.
Next letter is still E
Oh! I am sorry, wrong place wrong post. But I will add one
Edgeworth, Newcastle, Australia
Good things: My daughter has just started her first teaching position at the Edgeworth School. It is a lovely town just outside of Newcastle on the free way to Sydney. The new housing estates going up there are great and I am looking at buying one of the house and land packages.
Bad things: Years ago Edgeworth used to have a bad name as a town that housed a lot of Governement housing that has all changed now but some people still think of it as a poor area when in fact it is not any more.
Next letter F
Sorry.
Despite some obvious choices, I thought I'd post something less obvious.
Ferndale, California, USA
Good: Incredible victorian houses. Very laid back and secluded area.
Bad: Not on any tourist map. The last time I have been there, there were more cops than tourists, pulling everyone over who was slightly too fast. Thanks to my radar detector not me
.
Don't worry tay, its just a game
