What do you think of when talking about Dallas Ft. Worth?

What do you think of when talking about Dallas Ft. Worth? I live in the metroplex but I was wondering what people outside of the area thought about and what they would do in the DFW area?

LOL. I think of Texas. Then

LOL. I think of Texas. Then I see people with trucks and a gun. Then I see oil and oil companies. Then I see Huntsville and Austin. Then I see high tech.

I admit I have never been in Texas and know next to nothing about DFW

Maybe you could enlighten us about how it is really like there.

I think of JFK and this television soap opera about the Ewings.

To keep it short: I don't know anything about Dallas.

Perhaps you can tell us what to do in Dallas and maybe we decide to go there

After my terrible return from Mexico today, and being bumped by American Airlines yesterday, since their flight was delayed, Dallas Ft. Worth now has a whole different appeal to me. AA stuck us in the worst possible hotel without food vouchers. That wouldn't have mattered, since there was no restaurant in sight. This was for a flight arriving very late at night.
