Ryanair, is it any good?
I have seen a dozen of advertisements today in the newspaper from Ryanair. It's a company that flies really cheap. I have some friends that flew with this agency before but I don't think that it's so confortable to travel with them. Am I wrong?
Ryanair is known for hidden charges. They have incredible deals like $29 to fly from Frankfurth to London, but you will end up paying much more in taxes and surcharges than with other airlines. They also charge for drinks and other stuff. I think the most incredible deals are limited to like 10 seats per airplane. You will have almost no chance of getting one of them and end up paying more than they advertised.
Because of all of these misleading ads and hidden charges they (or Easy Jet, another cheap airline) have a lawsuit running.
I don't think they are less comfortable or anything. Just be prepared to pay more than you bargained for.

I have travelled with Ryanair many times from Rome Ciampino to Barcelona Girona. I found their service very very cheap, while the aircrafts are good and all new. Anyway, as said from andre there are lots of hidden charges, they treat you like a cargo shipment and not a person, and I did not enjoy my flight. I prefer flying with better companies, spending a little bit more.
I guess most of you guys don't like the service of Ryanair. I should not comment on this thread for I have no idea about this airline company. But I hope they would improve their services and eliminate hidden charges because my name is Ryan and it looks like its my airline company.
I've heard a lot of good things about Ryanair, but then again, I have read some really disturbing things about their service too. After watching a documentary about this agency I am sure that I will never ever fly with them. The documentary was made by two undercover journalists and the things they heard were really bad. It seems that Ryanair is really focused on making as much money as possible and not caring for people's safety at all.
Considering that they offer flights for as low as 29 Euros, it is not hard to see whats going on. No airline can run profitable on those deals. They have to either safe a lot of money (safety) or have a lot of hidden charges. I guess 29 Euros doesn't even cover the fuel cost. Its just a honeypot to attract the bees (travelers) but then they charge more anyways.
Recently I have been disappointed by almost every US carrier too. Service has declined so much, its unbelievable.
