Airplane pet peeves
What are your guys' biggest pet peeves about travelling on an airplane?
I'll list my top 3, see what you think.
3. The airlines are so frugal - pay for headsets, pay for a sandwich, pay for the full can of coke.
2. Lines, Lines, Lines - normally I would rank this number 1, but I'm growing more patient.
1. Lost luggage - This has never happened to me before (knock on wood) but, if it did I would...I would...Ah who am I kidding I would probably do nothing.

Somehow service has declined a lot during the last 10 years or so.
3. Food in general has become pretty bad.
2. People. Actually I hate being confined in a tiny seat surrounded by loud and obnoxious people. Usually I have a small child sitting behind me kicking my seat.
1. Killing time and the jet lag. Usually I can not sleep on the plane (see 2.) so I arrive totally exhausted in a different time zone.

I absolutely hate to fly. Mostly because it is so embarrassing. I have a pacemaker, and I have a metal rod attached to my spine. So, I can't go through their metal detectors. I'm always asked to step to the side and security has to scan me with one of those wands. People stare and point like they think I'm some kind of criminal. It makes me very uncomfortable. That's probably my worst pet peeve about flying. I think they should have a room you step into to be searched like that. It would be less embarrassing. That's why I go by car most of the time.
I am like you I hate the lines. It seems like that I always have to wait in line. And losing luggage. It happens all the time. You would think by now they would have that problem worked out.
So far I have been extremely lucky with lost luggage. However I have been bumped from a flight once (well actually the plane was late) and dumped in the worst imaginable motel by AA. No food within a few miles, no car and big cockroaches.

Attitude. I hate getting attitude from airline employees. It doesn't happen that often, and I know that if I had that job I would probably have killed someone by now. However...
Extra fees. There used to be a fee for late ticketing, because they had to use a courier service to get the ticket to you. Now they charge a late booking fee for frequent flyer e-tickets, not because it costs them any money, but because they can.
On the plus side, Delta didn't charge me a thing for the three customer service representatives that spend close to an hour finding a frequent flyer seat for me the week I wanted to travel. Nice, cheery people, too. The agent who found the flight sounded very proud of herself. I wonder if they brag at lunch? "Hey, I got someone on a flight to Bangkok this Thursday! Am I good or what?"
My pet peeve? When the guy in front of me leans his seat so far back I could practically do dental work on him. (And don't think I haven't considered it sometimes!
)
And still better then having a Child in the seat behind you that is constantly kicking your seat. If you have that for 3 hours in a row its like torture.

I've only been on a plane once in my entire life, so I don't really have anything to compare to. But, I can mention a few things that got on my nerves.
1. Really bad reception for the movie.
2. The reading lights were too dim to actually read by.
3. People who never are quiet.
4. Paying for a nickel's worth of soda in those tiny soda cans. They should've been complimentary.
5. Crappy snacks.

5. Crappy snacks.
I agree with your first 3 points, the last two however depend on the airline you are flying with. Some airlines still offer beer for free and I don't know who actually charges for sodas?

My number one complaint would have to be service (or lack thereof). Everyone from the people at the tickrt counter to the luggage handlers act as though they are doing you such a great favour by letting you on their planes. They are generally rude and arrogant.
