The best advice is always sleep if you can. Usually I am not able to sleep, but once I slept through a long haul flight. That was incredibly refreshing and I didn't even notice how long the flight took.
Otherwise do whatever pleases you, but keep in mind that the pressure and oxygen levels are lower up there. This means you should be aware of certain risks of long flights such as thrombosis. In extreme cases this can be fatal, esp. to elderly people. You should do some gymnastics, flexing your muscles in the legs and feet and that sort of thing.
I own some noise cancelling headphones. Those are always good to take on long flights. Otherwise its all waiting for meals, movies, reading a book and getting constipated and bloated.
Water? Hm. Believe me, 3 hours into the flight the restrooms in an airplaine should be avoided at all cost. I don't drink that much so I won't have to go constantly. I seem to have a small storage capability
I like to ask for a blanket too, especially when I have a window seat, since there is a constant draft of cold air.
Depends on the airline I went once with Cathay Pacific. The flight attendants used to clean the restrooms every 2 hours. (And if they don't clean it you can always complain.....)
Well there are other obstacles. Right after the movie, there is almost no way to get into one of the restrooms. You will have to ask the guy next to you, who for some reason doesn't fit in his seat and who's a** takes half of yours, to get up and let you out. Then you have to wait in line and make conversation with people you really don't care about and hope you will never see again. Then you will finally enter much sought for lonelyness of the restroom, which has been left dirty by the person in front of you.
Then you have to fight your way back, since it is not allowed to stand around anymore (at least not that much) for security reasons.
Which brings me to the real reason I hate flying. After having been strip-searched twice for no obvious reason and hours of waiting (since you have to be there early), I prefer the car for short distances.
Long distance flights are a real pain. The airlines try to cramp as much cattle (ehm, customers) into the cabin.
Can't wait to see the first A-380 flying. Supposedly they have much more room per person.

If i got to go means i got to go whatever the obstacles are also i don't mind queuing for the washroom or asking the fellows next to me. Business Class would be better.
I never had long distant flight before, just short distant flight. The most painfull experience is when travelling in an economic class (Cathay Pasicfic). Since i got a long legs and the person in front of me lower his seat 45 degrees it resulting in hurting my legs. He though he was in first class or what?
I'm pretty piss off and ask him to straighten his chair politely but he just denied my request. Damn.

I have seen in the presentation of National Geographic that this kind of planes have its own bar inside it. Imagine how big is this plane, the biggest in the commercial flights. I wish I could ride one of this awesome planes.
In flying long distances, you can always read a book or enhance your drawing skill. There are many things you can do in a long flight instead of just sleeping. But make sure that you don't disturb others when you do that thing.

That IS the truth
There is not much to do on long flights; I’ll do what I usually do: sleeeeeeep
Fortunately they have good ventilation

Don't forget to drink plenty of water, because the dry air in the plane causes dehydration.

I always buy two extra bottles of water for long haul journeys as sometimes cabin crew are not as forthcoming with it as they should be.
