Painted Campervan Travel in New Zealand
Hi I live in Auckland and I have discovered the most amazing campervans which are really more moving pieces of art. We just had a month on one and it was fantastic
Each campervan is painted with a different theme. It is great driving around waving at all the other campers. Here is the campervan site Escape Campervans with lots of photos on it of all the different designs and I have some great photos I can show you, but I will have to get some help to get them on. Bring back the 70s
This sounds great we are trying to decide whether to do the camper van thing in October or do the fly drive. What would you suggest?
Those look awesome! It almost reminds me of the schoolbus the Partridge Family had...but smaller. What is the going rate for renting one of those?
The prices seem to very from NZ40 to NZ100 depending on the time of year, Decemeber to February is alot more. I would travel in April. Cheaper and the waether is the same as summer.

Campervan wise I woiuld start in Christchurch and end in Auckland, it is alot cheaper and there is no back tracking
Does start in Christchurch and ending up in Auckland save money on car rentals, too?
We have now decided to travel by Motor Home this trip to New Zealand. We are leaving on September 20th so will let you know how it goes. Friends of ours have done this twice now and recommend it.
Did you go with Escape?, I have seen alot around.. Very Cool
