Flooding in Newcastle NSW Australia

Well we havnt been washed of the map yet. But it sure feels like it. We have had a really bad two weeks. Last weekend on Friday 8th June we had the worst storm we have seen since the 1970's. Flooding has been terriable. To date there have been nine people killed. The water in our house was up to our chest and we had to swim to safety. At the moment the rain is still here but not as bad as it was. There is also a big ship grounded on one of Newcastle's main beache's what a site.

Thanks  sunrider. Me too. It is still raining but all severe storms have been down graded today. But the rain isnt letting the flood waters get away very fast so there is still some flash flooding happening everywhere.

Take care.  It's going to be rough when it is all over and you have to start trying to get your life back together again.  At least you are alright.
