Well we are just back from a week and a half in Cobram/Barooga, in Victoria. It is funny Barooga is actually in NSW and Cobram is in Victoria we stayed right on the boder of NSW and Victoria. Barooga is a popular holiday destination on the Murray River, it is sister city to Cobtam, across the Victorian border, 680km south-west of Sydney and about three hours drive from Melbourne.
Barooga has large sandy beaches along the Murray River as well as prolific birdlife and redgum forests. Popular activities include bushwalking, camping, fishing, swimming and water-skiing. We had a great time 4 Wheel driving on the Murrey where you can come close to families of Kangaroo's. At the moment though the area is very dry as we are in the middle of a major draught, here in Australia. We took this photo while 4 Wheel driving on the murrey.
There are so many kangaroos on the in Barooga. The best time to see them come out is at dusk, this was taken around 7 at night, we
are in daylight saving time here in Australia. If you look closely you can see a baby Joey in the pouch.
