In May we traveled to Adelaide. The  Adelaide Hills are only 20 minutes drive from Adelaide, but it's like another world. It's best to hire a car so you can explore.

Hahndorf is the most well-known town of the hills, and is Australias oldest German settlement. It's a great place for food-in particular cheese. There are several world-class wineries, and for the sweet tooths, there's also a chocolate factory. Plus, you'll find, national parks and walking trails to keep you busy, or you can just relax in one of the bed and breakfasts.
