Washington D.C. City Tours
Hi, during next month I will be going to Washington City for official purposes. I will stay there for about 15 days. So I am thinking of visiting the city. Can you people guide me in planning the trip? Tell me name of places I should nto visit. I will have around 3 days with me for the trip.

Washington DC is very nice, but it will probably be very warm too.
I visited the Library of Congress and I was completely dazzled by it (well worth the visit).
Unfortunately I couldn't get into the White House, as they still hadn't resumed tours last year.
I think Washington at night is very beautiful.
I have not done that much out of the ordinary.
Washington is great for history buffs. What are you looking for?
Its interesting to see all the splendor. Most Museums are free to visit and so much over the top, that I am not surprised about my taxes anymore

Hi,
its good to see that people are able to find some time out their busy schedule for themselves otherwise they generally don’t even think of going on trip. Yes you can have trip of 3 days during which you can visit most of the important places in Washington City. You can find tour packages online from a large no of tour operator in the city. But go for which provide the cheap and best thing according to your budget. You should try to arrange trip during weekend so that your work will not suffer because of this. I generally use Tours4fun services for any trip in USA as they provide the best tour packages at very low prices. To know more about their current offerings, you can visit to www.tours4fun.com. You can also get online help from their consultant who will definitely eliminate any confusion of yours if any. I really enjoyed the accommodation and transportation services they provide. Moreover the stuff works very hard to give their best to the entire tourist group. I think you should go once for their services and you definitely will not be disappointed.
The best part of DC is all those free things to do. All of the Smithsonian museums are free, and they are strung out along the mall, which stretches from the Capitol building to the Lincoln Memorial. You could spend the whole three days there and not get bored.
Because the museums are free, you don't have to stay in any one of them for a very long time. If I go to a big museum and spend a lot of money to get in, I stay as long as I can. But on the mall, you can drop in to one museum, look at some section that appeals to you, walk back out, and in a few minutes be in a differerent museum or the botanical gardens or on a walk to one of the memorials.
Must sees:
The Lincoln Memorial
The Washington Monument (though it would be pretty hard to miss it)
The East Wing of the National Gallery of Art, for the building, even if you aren't interested in the art.
The Air and Space Museum
And anything else that strikes your fancy. I will be really hot in July and August.
