I have reserved a working holdiay visa for Canada for 2009 and am planning on heading over to Vancouver for at least 6 months (maybe even the full year if I like it enough) after my friends wedding in July 2009.
I am just looking for advice/help on a few points:
1: Is there any website where people from Vancouver list rooms to let? I would be ideally looking to share with students or young working professionals. It would really help to have accomodation sorted before going, I would just do it a month or so before leaving.
2: Where are the best areas to be looking for an apartment? Student areas, close to bars/nightclubs/restaraunts as these are the types of places I would be working. Any areas to avoid?
3: And finally, is there any main area where all of the bars/clubs/restaraunts are situated so I know where to go to hand in CV's?
