Where to go?!?! HELPP!
hi. I'm 16, and this summer I’m pretty sure I’m doing a 6 week summer exchange program. I know I want to go to Europe, but I’m not sure what country to go to. I have to have 3 choices, and these are the countries I have to choose from...
Sweden
Spain
Poland
Denmark
Brazil
Estonia
Finland
Portugal
Slovakia
Norway
Czech Rep
Germany
Italy
Romania
I know my 1st choice is going to be Italy, and I'm not sure about the 2nd or 3rd choice
I was thinking maybe Spain as a 2nd choice, then Poland or Sweden as 3rd
Can someone who has traveled to these countries give me some advice?
I'm a 16 year old, and I speak a little Spanish, and a little Italian (very little)
I want somewhere that I would have fun, and would give me a good experience
Thanks a lot!

I really like Portugal. Its very laid back and relaxed (similar to Spain). It may be a little hot in Summer though.
Sweden is defenitely a good choice and so are Norway and Finnland. Norway and Finnland are high tech countries with the highest living standards across Europe. I am not 100% sure, but I believe that Alcohol is extremely expensive in all Scandinavian countries.
Did I mention the legal age for Booze in many European Countries is 16
(I know for certain thats the case in Germany but I think it may be true in many other countries).
I am not particulary fond of France, but Paris is defenitely a nice city to spend the summer in.
The Czech Repuplic (especially Prague) is a good choice too. Prague has a reputation for its parties, concerts and beautiful downtown.
The last time I checked, Brazil was located in South America, so you might want to scratch that off your list.
Croatia is nice too. It has become an affordable and often not well enough recognized tourist destination at the Mediteranian sea.
Greece is a wonderful country with a rich history, excellent food (and booze) and has some of the best weather (located at the mediteranian sea).
Austria has lots of mountain scenery and good chocolate.
It would probably help if you could specify what exactly you are looking for.
Personally I would recommend Portugal and Greece unless you give some more information.

It depends on your likes/dislikes, but if you're concerned about communication, then you might want to consider the Scandinavian countries. Many Scandinavians speak good English and you'll normally find it relatively easy to get by from a language point of view. I suggest you to visit the website travelervideos.com. It has world's largest travel video directory collection and should be a useful guide for you.
Best of luck.
Italy, Spain (the chance to use your Spanish is a big plus), and then one other country. I agree that one of the Scandinavian countries would be a good choice, not just because of the high level of English, but because they are not the places everyone goes for their first trip to Europe. I think it will give you a more unique experience.
If cost is an issue, and you have to be concerned about having enough spending money, I'd consider the Eastern European countries. They also are not the first places people go when they visit Europe.
16? summer? you definetly have to visit Cancun Mexico and practice some spanish. It's a great place to go. check out these places for more information. good luck!
When I was in Cancun, and in fact in most of the Yucatan, most people spoke English. It does more for your language skills, I think, if you go someplace where fewer people speak English and you are more likely to be put in a situation where you have no choice.
Hello,
I’m getting you very well, and also I understood that what’s your planning. Your planning is good, I will suggest for turkey. It's very good place, we can get all this things there.
Cheers..!!

I would go with Italy, Germany and Estonia. The first two will offer plenty of top attrcations and both have fantastic histories. For you third place i always like somewhere thats a little different and a bit off the beaten track and that is Estonia, you will also find that the price of food, accommodation etc is cheaper in eastern europe!
