Wow... that leaves the door wide open!  What sort of travel are you seeking?  Do you want to travel to various places during your trip, or are you going to have one destination and stay?  Do you want to be on a cruise, for example, or would you rather stay in a hotel?

 The possibilities are endless!

If you ever decide Australia. I would suggest the Great Barrier Reef. It is fanctastic all the different islands are amazing

For something different, you could always do an Arctic cruise, if cruises are your thing.

I can tell you that I have always wanted to take a cruise to Alaska and the other one would have to be a trip to New Zealand.

That is in my opinion one of the best places to visit, large competition among hotels, good rates, lots of places to visit, tourist attractions, and it is always warm there. I found a site www.localvibeguide.com which has an unique way of sharing travel information! You can write a local guide to your city and sell it online. It has a good travel information.

New Zealand looks gorgeous...at least, what I've seen of it in the movies looks great. That should definitely be on the list of one of the best places to visit.

Yuk. Sounds like you are looking for all inclusive pre-canned vacation spots.

I definitely try to avoid places that are over developed with too many hotels. 

You should check out Mexico (Riviera Maya). They have some good hotels there. I stayed in the Royal Porto Real and I absolutely loved it. However this is not my style. I usually look for small family operated hotels and I don't care for all inclusive since I am out all day to explore the country anyways. Also due to recent development the area has lost a lot of its charme.

Maybe the best places to visit are the one's we haven't been to yet.  A sort of 'grass is greener' syndrome.

I toatly agree with you cindy. All countries have something specific to offer. I don't think we can say there is a very best place to visit, there's not only one, there are hundreds, and unfortunatelly our short lives don't allow us to visit them all.

I agree, or something similar like whale watching.

You should have something specific or at least narrow down your choices.

If nature is your thing then maybe outskirts of South Africa or have a trip across Australia. Shopping wise you can always go to Hong Kong. Or Thailand if you like Beaches.

Why not try travelling to Asia?Philippines is such a nice place for beaches.They have a good

diving facilities as well as you can do whale watching.Hotels are much more cheaper and the

people are friendly.You can go to Boracay.Bohol and to place i am at now ,Cebu.

If you like shopping there's a good place in Thailand where you can buy anything cheaper.

Bali,Indonesia is good to visit as well as to exploreduring summers.

Achieve both adventure and serenity in NEw Zealand. whether your retired or just looking for a great spend. I would also recommend australia, but I think You would love New Zealand as there are more friendly locals out there. and its a lot greener. =)

I went to South Europe (Italy) last year with my spouse and we both extremely satisfied with the trips. We spent 1 month to go around Italy.

Because life is worth living to it's fullest.

I would suggest paris or hawaii... love that place..

If you were going to do something like that I would suggest that you get a camper and drive across America. Not just the United States, but Canada and Mexico as well. Mack sure to go through Canada during the summer and Mexico can be done at just about any time. Try and make it through the U.S. during the fall or spring seasons. There are many best places in the world as mentioned by many users here but if someone ask me I first would find unvisited places and explaore them for the world. Journey with a knowledge gaining will be the best place.

I have heard that Australia is pretty exciting.

From my opinion Turkey is a perfect place for a holiday, as this country provide something for each visitor and there`s a wide range of activities to do and places to vists.

Historical places plus sun kissed sand will definitly give you a special affect.

In my opinion India is the best place to visit in the world. i love to see indian beauty and culture.
