Wake up call!
The other day I woke up to the sound of someone pounding on a door, and calling, "Wake up, wake up!" What? I wasn't going anywhere. Finally I realized the pounding was next door, and tried to go back to sleep. The calling and pounding continued. I heard words like "ferry" and "Phi Phi". Then finally, a male voice with a German accent. "OK, OK." The pounding stopped and I went back to sleep for several hours, until I was dragged from sleep by very loud swearing, again in German. "S----!" followed by a pause, then "S----!" again.
When I finally dressed (bathing suit), and went downstairs, I asked the manager about it. "I guess someone missed a bus," I said. "Him," she replied. "Not a bus, a diving tour to the Similans." "Drinking last night?" "Yes." Then together we recited this important mantra, "Never, ever go out the night before an early bus, plane, train, ferry, or anything else."
So I'm passing it on to all of you. Never, ever go out the night before an early bus, plane, train, ferry, or anything else.

Too bad for that guy. Hope his night of drinking was worth it. haha.
I totally agree with you! I also experienced such hassle during one of my Marrakech travels. I stayed up late one time (for I prefer to explore the city during the night) and I was eventually late for an important meeting the next morning.
I hate when I have something important to do after a fun night of hanging out. I guess that's why folks hate Mondays. Back to work.
It’s only worth drinking if you know when to stop. Otherwise hangover will kill you some day
That is really funny. Live and learn I guess. I am not much of a drinker so really don't have to worry about that.
