1 As you prepare to pack the car for a journey. Remember not to overload it. Check the owner's manual for reommended loads.

3 Before taking that long trip visit your mechanic and make sure your vehicle;s engine, battery cooling msystem, exhaust and brakes are running safely.
4 Check the rubber on your windscreen wipper blades and replace if necessary.
5 Check your headlights on low and high beam, your brake lights indications and emergency flashers.
6 Be sure to take your moble phone with the battery fully chargeed-to use in emergencies.
7 Always travel with a torch, basic tools, a tyre pump and a first aid kit.
8 Take bottles of drinking water-best chilled in an esky and low salt snacks
9 Make time to stop every few hours to stretch, refresh, and take a break.
