For me it really depends on where I am going and what I am doing. If I am traveling on business or going someplace where the main attraction is the location then I would prefer to take a plane because it is the fastest.
There is nothing like a good old fashioned road trip though and it can be incredibly relaxing to spend a few hours driving and then stop when you see something interesting.
I prefer travelling on a plane more. I feel like i can finally fly when im on a plane. I can also enjoy the flight since I can witness a great view of the places under.

There are things to be considered for you to choose among these modes, basically I suggest three (3) aspects to consider (you could add if you have something in mind): (1) Price or amount to be spent using that mode of transportation; (2) Would you enjoy if you'll choose that mode?; and (3) Is it practical?
If you enjoy the enter-island travel then cross the seas and be with sea goers.
If you want to familiarize yourself with other places while on board to your destination, take a road trip.
If you want to discover what lies in the skylines, fly through an aircraft.
Well, it depends on the location and the situation. If I need to go to a far-off destination and would be in a bit of a hurry, I'll go by plane. Going on a leisure trip to an island? Ferry. If I wan't to go somewhere pretty close and want to enjoy the sights a bit more, then I go by train.
