Tips for a Young first time Air Traveller
Ok so it is your first time travelling by air. In terms of your luggage I have a couple of tips. Make sure your bag is easy to manoeuvre it is probably best to get something with wheels so you won't need help carrying it.
Check with your airline as to how much you can check through, how much you can take as carry-on and how big your bags can be.
Make sure you pack your most precious things in your carry-on luggage just in case your big bag gets lost. And take your toothbrush and moisturiser with you so you can freshen up on the plane.
Hopefully you won't have problems with safety. Airports are usually very busy places, so as long as you sit where there are lots of other people, always have your luggage with you and be careful who you talk to.

think i have to get some tips on long distance travel since i've never been out of the country yet.
anybody who can help me in this site, thanks!
This is more of a general traveling tip, but it is a good idea to attach something to your bag that will make it easier to pick out. Some people use pieces of ribbon or small stickers. It is amazing how similar peoples bags can look, this is especially true when you have just got off of a long flight.
Wheelchair Lifts open up new doors everyday.
This is great advice, especially with new flying policies.
Its also good to note to avoid bringing liquids onboard and arrive early for the security checks.
If you are stopping over, while waiting for the
next flight out, be careful of duty-free items. The stuff you bought at the
first airport might be taken off you before boarding at the second…

I travel all over the world, my suggestion is don't stay out to late
and stay in a good hotel and private jet rental-- i am not to sure in S. Africa because it is
a poor country and when they see a foreigner they might just jump .....
so PLEASE by careful but in Carribean when i went they were nice people
but make sure you do not pay too much for an item. Have a great time!!
also you are talking about jail, as long as you don't carry what you
are not supposed to in the airport it should be all fine!
What is it now about laptops? They're confiscating them and not return them on time or at all. Or so I heard.
personally, to calm my nerves, i usualy get a few drinks before boarding. it helps me fall asleep :)
Really? Lucky me they didn't even look at mine.
BTW, if you have child travelling with you, bring a gum. Some children can not tolerate the ascend and descend of the place and their ears hurt. Chewing a gum relieves it.
We have just come back from holidays a couple of weeks ago. I took my lap top with me as I had some work I still had to get done, plus we like to put some of our photo's straight onto our laptop if we are not getting them all developed. I had no trouble what so ever with my laptop at the airport. I carried it on as a carry on I had to take it out of the carry bag though to go through secruity. I agree with the gum when flying with children. My daughter had some boiled lollies to suck on and they really helped her.
Not a long time ago, I also travelled for the first time and that too long distance and alone. There were a few things that i experienced and would like to help you with some tips. 1) Never carry all your money in the same place. Its best if it is scattered. 2) Always carry a plug point convertor of the country you are going to. 3) Carrying a translation book would be of great help.
For the first timer, always be very careful anywhere you go. If you are going in a tour group, make sure that you dont get left behind. You can keep some emergency number in your destination city, just in case you need it
it safe that you dont let them know that you are a first timer.

What's the place not to be missed in Istanbul? I've never been there
You will just need her ticket and birth certificate with you for
travel. Here are some other tips that I hope will help to make the
flight easier for you:
For take-offs and landings, the best thing you can do to help with
the ear popping, is give your daughter something to drink, a snack to
munch on, or a candy.
New regulations allow you to take beverages (including water) from home
as long as they are less than 3oz, or beverages (including water) of
any size that you have purchased from inside the security area onto
planes. Save your money when it comes to buying water though because the Flight
Attendants will provide you with hot or cold water or any other drink
free at any time that you request, no matter how many times you request
it.
Another trick is that if your child is not wanting to drink, eat, or
suck on a candy, gently rub her neck from the chin down to the chest
several times - this will cause a swallowing motion which will help
with the ears popping.

Hi guys, I want to ask you whether I can bring my PSP or not when I go abroad? I know it maybe a silly question, but my friend told me once his friend's gameboy was taken by the airport officers. They said it was illegal to bring electronic stuff. FYI, I'm from Indonesia and will go to Ausie shortly...
