Single female needing a vacation - where to go?

Single female needing a vacation - where to go?

I'm a 28 single female and I need a vacation! Here's the thing, I'm going solo so I need suggestions on where to go. I am looking to go in June sometime for 6 days. Looking for somewhere that is safe, must be on the beach with warm weather, fun nightlife, not in the US, with lots of things to do. Any help would be appreciated!

I think it depends on what

I think it depends on what you're comfortable with.  If it were me, I'd either head to France (Brittany is my favorite seaside place) or to Spain.  Not the Costa de Sol but nearer to Barcelona ...like Sitges.  Lovely little towns and great beaches.

There are tons of places you could go like Hawaii

Since you are obviously concerned about safety, you could also opt for Group Travel. This will open a lot more destinations to you that you probably wouldn't visit all by yourself. Definitely something to check out for single women/girls.

If it was me I would head

If it was me I would head to Hawaii or Australia. Both would make for an awesome vacation. I hope to get to Australia here in the next few years myself.

I would suggest going to

I would suggest going to one of the islands, such as Turks/Caicos, Jamaica or maybe one of the Virgin Islands.   You could stay at an all-inclusive resort where there are tons of tourists.  This would help to keep you safe from any riff-raff of locals.  Plus, there is often a great nightlife scene.

That is in my opinion one of the best places to visit, large competition among hotels, good rates, lots of places to visit, tourist attractions, and it is always warm there. I've just found this cool new site...you can write a local guide to your city and sell it online.

If interested check out, www.localvibeguide.com

There are already guides from Prague, Barcelona, London and Paris on it.  It looks a good way to get the local's view when traveling around.

I can't help but comment on

I can't help but comment on the number of posts I see about safety issues and the fear of travelling alone.  While I think  you don't leave common sense at home and take the same precautions you do every day, travelling alone can be safe, fun and very rewarding.  I'm an anti-tour group person and I've travelled all over the world.  Alone!  Outside of being approached by gypsies in Rome, I've traveled in Asia, Eastern Europe and South America without anything untoward ever happening.

Of course bad things do happen but if you don't leave common sense at home, you're fine. Do your research prior to the trip (which is part of the fun) and be prepared.  Tour groups are too much like microscosms of home ..break out!
