After a year of travelling I developed a website where everyone can start their own travelwebsite (not just a blog) for free and publish their Travelogues and Photo Albums.
You get an interactive map to show the route travelled, visitor statistics, a Secured Document Vault etc...
The result is based on the website I used myself during my own journeys and is designed to function anywhere in the world from New York to the Sahara, from Shanghai to the Mongolian steppe even if the internet is slower than your average postcard and the computers still run Windows Very Old(tm).

I totally agree with you. Many travelers think they have been everywhere and know everything about countries but it is not true. Spending 2 weeks in a hotel in Morocco just enjoying night culbs and swimming pool is totally far from experiencing the real country or even a city or town of that country... travelers need to know the country its culture its people.

That is a very good idea Jacco. I think that your website will become viral in no time. It's a good thing that you are allowing users to post full blogs. The search engines will probably love it too with all the unique content that you are going to have once people start adding their stories in there. You may want to add some google adsense ads to it.
