My New Escort Passport 8500 X50

My New Escort Passport 8500 X50

For me the driving season is coming up. I usually do some road trips around christmas. Since I am still somewhat in my blackout period for tickets, I bought a brand new Passport 8500 x50 Radar Detector. Here in the us, you can get one point taken off your record every 18 months. Any point on the record and your insurance rate goes through the roof, even if all you did is go a little fast. I used to have a Cobra, but it constantly went off when its not supposed to and vice versa. Thats when today i thought I'd get a Passport 8500 x50 Radar Detector. Its the most advanced Piece of Radar Detector Technology available.

Naturally it costs a little more, but I figured if it saves me one ticket this season plus the Insurance cost it will have paid for itself.

It comes in a sleek leathery box:

Radar Detectors are legal here in the US except for Washington DC and Vermont. So I won't have anything to worry about.

The passport scores top of its class in almost all test I have seen.

I wasn't sure weather I should get a valentine, but the valentine is too sensitive and gives too many false alarms. The passport simply has better filtering.

Anyways, I did my homework and today I simply bought one. I will let you know if it saved me tickets this season. Cool

Check it out yourself:

I wish they were legal in

I wish they were legal in Australia.. Here the cops have radar detector detectors, and big fines if you get caught!

You might want to check out

You might want to check out the latest Beltronics. Its a little bit more expensive but supposedy undetectable by even the Spectre III (laser detector detector).

Look who is talking, a guy with the handle "no brakes"Laughing

I have done 1000 miles during the last two days. So far it has shown me one cop (close to home) that I wouldn't have seen soon enough and a bunch more on I-5 that were already after someone else.

My GPS told me that I was doing 99.9 mph somewhere yesterday Wink. The spedometer in cars always show more, so I love to have my small GPS device in the car to get a real reading.

I just love driving fast. The faster the better, but you have to be alert so you won't get caught.
