Travelling to Nice, Genoa, Palermo

Travelling to Nice, Genoa, Palermo

Has anyone travelled by TGV to Nice in France, then by boat to Genoa and then by boat to Palermo in Sicily? 
My brothe wants to create a co-ordinated journey with all the arrival and departure times tying in properly.
