I travelled with a couple of vegetarians on a trip to Ireland. We were there for some weeks working, and they didn't have a problem at all. While there weren't veggie meals on the menus, all restaurants were quite nice about making something for them ...large hotels as well as pubs.
The fish is excellent if you eat that or you could just live on Guiness Lol.
Hey ,
Check out http://www.localvibeguide.com/, they have all local information about food, guide and others for a tourist. You can write a local guide to your city and sell it online.
There are already guides from Prague, Barcelona, London and Paris on it. It
looks a good way to get the local's view when traveling around.
I have always wanted to go to Ireland. From the pictures that I have seen and what I have seen on tv. It looks so calming and beautiful. I hope someday I will get to go.
Hi there..I live in Ireland and I am a vegetarian most of the time. I find it not too bad.I eat lots of tuna and salad, and also they have yummy Ulster Fry's!
Egg, Soda Bread - the yummiest thing around and potato farls, which is like a potato bread. they have Vegie paddy's with lovely herbs in them as well, along with fried or grilled tomato.
They make a lovely Irish Stew, bbut I have seen a Vegetarian one about which is just as nice!
Maybe you will be so horrified at the prices that you will lose your appetite.
Hi all,
Thanks for suggestions and time. All suggestions are really interesting and impressive ...

I have been to ireland. I too am a vege-man. Though most resturaunts have a seperate veggitarian menu. Trust me, it is very good, though you might get scared by the names

I'm vegetarian, and I've been to Ireland a couple of times - it wasn't too bad in my opinion, although I live in the UK, and there are a lot of chains that have branches in both England and Ireland, so perhaps my familiarity helped a bit.
I think you'll be fine though - vegans might have more of a problem since there's a lot of dairy products, but plain vegetarian shouldn't be an issue.
