Saint Petersburg tips
Saint Petersburg should be visited at least once! If you are going there I’m ready to give you some tips. The first place to see – arterial road of the city – Nevsky Avenue (Prospekt it is called there); the “heart” of the city is Palace Square – marvelous! In the vicinity: the Hermitage (former tsarist palace + museum), General Headquarters (a beautiful building on the square); the Admiralty (building connected with Russian navigation history); cathedrals: Kazansky, St. Isaac’s, Spas-na-Krovi (there’s unique mosaics!!!); the Russian Museum (huge pictures and just beautiful ones); the Peter and Paul’s Fortress (there is a wide assortment of souvenir coins on sail); drawing bridges in the right season (soon!); towns near St. Petersburg (with lots of palaces and fountains – in summer they are esp marvelous), my favourite is Petrodvorets. If you want to read abt it, my advice is www.hotels-of-saint-petersburg.com (the company helps also with hotel booking, including cheap but nice romantic nooks :) ). But the main idea is to believe people who saw it with their own eyes! My verdict: this city is sth special!!!

A friend of mine was thinking about visiting Russia and St. Petersburg. I am sure he will appreciate all the advice he can get.
