If you plan to visit Greece the one thing to bear in mind is that hotels in Greece are usually country style. Greece is not a industrial country at all, tourism and lots of visitors in hot spots like Athens (Athens hotels are well overpriced) but other than that Greece is the country side and the beach. Hotels are super cheap on the country side. The value is really great. Especially if you are used to travel in northern Europe.

The Divani Caravel Hotel about $229 a night, depending on the type of room you want. I would go back there for the food alone - the morning buffet was absolutely awesome and the hotel itself is gorgeous from the lobby to the rooftop pool to the individual bedrooms. My friends and I went on a wedding on Crete and stayed at the Iberostar Mirabello, it was all-inclusive and very good quality. About £500 per person. It's part of Iberostar group and they have hotels all over the med. If you book it in advance, it can be cheaper to go direct with them assuming you can get cheap flights. Otherwise go with Thomas Cook or your usual travel agent.
