Cheap place to stay in Rome
Hello!
I just wonder if you could share some information about best places (hostels, B&B, cheap hotels) to stay in Rome. I’ve been there for several times, but still haven’t managed to find a really fine place to stay.
What about eating out, which are your approved places? My favourite ones are 'Gusto , Enoteca Antica (both near the Spanish steps) as well as Da Tonino (Via del Governo Vecchio, really nice pastas, also reasonably priced).
When going around I usually use car hire since I know Rome roads quite well and usually going for some days out of the city.
I will really appreciate your opinions and tips. Rome is my favourite European capital and I want to keep exploring it.

Cascina Palace is a 3 stars rated distinguished hotel yet not expensive!! well... actually quite inexpensive. I booked it few months ago through easyclicktravel.com for 50$ only (double room).
You can find the world's best ice cream in the Il Gelato di San Crispino, right next to the Trevi Fountain! I've tried it and its pretty special, although take your own cone to dunk it into because they give it to you in silly plastic cups so they don't 'obscure the taste' or something...
