I'd say London. The quality of restaurants here is incredible, and the chefs are pulled in from around the world due to the money they can make.

London has a very good range of restaurants, all very good quality. I haven't been to Italy and so I haven't tasted the food straight from the country.

I've stayed in many hotels in Italy, and breakfast usually isn't very good. For lunch and diner, however, you just can't beat the Italians. I've had meals in both hotels and restaurants, both in very touristic places, and in out-of-the-way villages where they hardly receive any tourists. My vote is for Italian food. Also, don't forget the reason why their dishes (pizza, pasta, etc) are known all over the world.

one of my favorites are pastas.. and pizzas.. so i guess that goes another for Italy. as much as I love cheese and italians make the best of it
