Anybody ever been to the Tower of London?

Anybody ever been to the Tower of London?

I visited the Tower of London about twenty years ago, when I gradulated from high school. It was very interesting--I'd read up a lot on its history, and it was fascinating to see the building that I'd read about for so many years--but I also felt chilled the entire time I was in the place and kind of emotionally on edge as well. If ever a place might be haunted, I can't imagine a more likely candidate.

Yeah, I visited London and

Yeah, I visited London and of course the Tower of London about 17 years ago and I had a similar experience. I was also pretty young at the time, so that might have been part of it. But I do still remember them telling us stories about the headless ghost of Anne Boleyn or the apparition of Sir Walter Raleigh.

Actually, I would love to go back to London and visit the Tower again. I wonder if it would still be as impressive and "creepy" for me as it was back then.

I was 39 when I visited,

I was 39 when I visited, and I thought it was pretty impressive.  I kept thinking of Anne Boleyn.

I've always been interested

I've always been interested in the history of the Tudors, so Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard were at the forefront of my thoughts as well.

Now that I'm a little older, I would love to go back and see the Tower again, and of course there are many other places in London and the surrounding areas I would love to revisit.

I haven't been back in

I haven't been back in years but it might be fun to do.  I tend to like London best in winter when there aren't alot of other tourists around, and places like The Tower can be almost deserted!

I, too, would love to go

I, too, would love to go back now that I'm a little older and perhaps a little (okay, a lot) more cynical. I wonder if it would shake me up as bad as it did all those years ago. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to find out before long--I'm putting together a "cruise schedule," the trips I want to take over the next ten years or so, and the British isles are definitely on my itinerary.

My wife and I will be

My wife and I will be seeing the Tower of London for the first time this October, as we will be celebrating our anniversary in London. As one of the Top 10 in the list we found in the London Guide, the Tower is surely in our itinerary! Cool

It's definitely worth

It's definitely worth visiting - one of London's most famouse sights!
