Amazing architecture of Barcelona
The very first thing that can get the serious attention to
the tourist about Barcelona is its amazing architectures, this work of art is
unique that cannot be found anywhere ion the world. This art of city dazzling
architectural landscape is the work of two architects, Antonio Gaudi and
Domenech Montaner. Their work has account for nine UNESCO World Heritage sites
including casa Mila, Crypt in Colonia Guell, Palau de la Musica Catalana, Park
Guell and Sagrada Familia.
The history of Barcelona is until now well preserve and
symbolized the Spanish tradition. If you familiar with La Rambla, this is the
famous and perfect place to soak in the city’s culture. They say that, if you
sit here long enough, you will see all of Barcelona pass by you. This is like
24 hr of rejoicing place with fantastic sight of the entire city.
The Barcelona Museums in Santa Madrona boast of artifacts
dating back to the 17th century. The Frederic Mares Museums displays
a wide array of Spanish scriptures and artworks from the middle ages, including
masterpieces of Virgin Mary and the crucifix.
This is just a few tourist attraction of Barcelona that
closely related to the cultures that Spain has. This place is loves by millions
and still the visitors every year can’t stop increasing.

An interesting way to discover the architecture of Barcelona is through the themed itineraries of Barcelona Turisme called Barcelona Movie Walks, about films shot in Barcelona.
Pedro's Almodovar Barcelona, The Barcelona of Perfume and Barcelona of Manuale d'Amore are only some examples. An itinerary based on the last film of W. Allen 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' is coming soon.
A different way to enjoy your time in Barcelona ;)

hello!
I'd definitely recommend a day trip to Montserrat. We loved this trip. You need to catch a train from the metro station Placa D'Espanya. When we travelled there was an information stall for travelling to Montserrat and as we were cutting it fine time wise the girl manning the stall came to the ticket machine and helped us choose the correct tickets.
You have two choices the first is to get the train straight to Montserrat the second is to get off a stop earlier and get the cable car up. I'd recommend the second option.
Also which we didn't realise until we were due to leave is that you can go up to a higher point while you are there. I can't remember if you do this by train or another cable car but if you enquire at the information point when you get there they should be able to tell you.
About cheap accommodation in the centre of barcelona.....
my girlfriend and i spent 8 hours to find hostel by 20-30 euros in Barcelona downtown, it was unpossible. On Ramblas and placa Cataluna the cheapest hostel is 60 euros for the room which you share with minimum 4 people. Very durty and noizy, it is unpossible to sleep there an hour...it is better to find and to rent a room,i also found my room for rent through internet ads, here is the contacts of the landlady, while you will be searching the apartment for rent, you can stay at one of her rooms (separate) in the city centre by 20 euros: r_s_2002@mail.ru (+34 634836266 Rena). Or try to find smth else yourself...
Good luck
I would prefer to see their architectural spot instead of the national historical lanmark. I'm fascinated with their creativity and its a great place to feel it
I am never sure about Gaudi's work. There is no doubt it is fascinating and spectacular but I much prefer the mor subtle architecture like Santa Maria del Mar and el Catedral. They are much more classical and are amazing feats of work too. I feel in Barcelona people overlook the more normal buildings because they are too concerned with the legend of Gaudi.
