Travel Insurance for Thailand?
Hi guys.
Am heading out to Thailand to see some friends in a couple of months, and am looking for some cheap global travel insurance that will ensure I have a pleasent and stress free trip! Any suppliers you'd reccommend for the area?
Thanks a lot!

Ahh, Thailand is a wonderful country; you’ll have a great time. I was in Bangkok working for a few months, a few years ago and it was simply amazing.
As for travel insurance, cheap isn’t always best as you’ve noted! You really don’t want to be stuck in Bangkok feeling sick only to discover you’re not as covered as you thought. As for where from, well you’ll need global travel insurance for Thailand, so a couple of places spring to mind: Have a look around http://www.insureandgo.com and http://www.insuremore.co.uk and see if they’ll do for you. :)
Excellent medical care is available in Thailand at amazingly low prices. Also, if you need any dental work done, get it done there.
Right, the medical care is excellent, however travel insurance doesnt only cover for medical issues but for cancellations and delays as well, also think about repatriation which can easily make you a bankrupt...
I use globelink.uk.com
and find them to be cheap and reliable :-)
Happy travelling!

That's good to know that you are considering in getting a travel insurance before traveling to Thailand. I myself always get insured whenever I travel. I guess, you can try inquiring at AIG Travel Insurance, i've tried getting insurance from them and was okay.
