I think people start making arrangements a year or so in advance, so I'l start looking into it now. One way to check is to go to some on-line booking sites and see what is available during that period.
With everybody's interest to China now, I am sure there will be crowds. And high prices. I myself wanted to add a question to this: Has anone cooperated with a good hotel near Shaolin Monastery? I have an intention to go spring 2008. Also, is it allowed for tousists to enter the monastery? Do they allow to see the practise?
