Discover a magical place on Samui

We just returned from our 3 weeks holiday in Samui. We stayed at a new hip boutique hotel called Art Palace. It is located just 5 minutes away from Chaweng on a buddhistic mountain with a stunning view over Chaweng Lake and the ocean. It is truly an arthouse with lots of great artwork and funky colours. With only 18 rooms and 2 pool villas it's quiet small and gives you a feeling like home. Each room is dedicated to a famous painter like Monet, Dali, Kandinsky and so on. Although the hotel is not directly at the beach, Nathalie the owner, gives you many tips to try out a lot of diffrent beaches the island has to offer. She gave us also great lifestyle tips, what to see on the island and for the evenings she recommended us some excellent restaurants. They have 2 diffrent lounges areas at the palace, one is at a fabulous pool and the other just recently opened on one of the three rooftop terraces. There you can watch the sunset, while enjoying some outstanding cocktails mixed by a famous mixologist and listen to some great tunes.

So you went to an island

So you went to an island with some incredibly beautiful beaches and you needed a pool?  I guess I can understand it since you weren't right on the beach.  It does sound like an interesting place, though.  I always forget there are hills there and there is more to the place than the sun, sand, and water.

I guess, if you spent 3

I guess, if you spent 3 weeks of holidays somewhere, you should also explore some attractions the island has to offer. I could not spent every day on the beach, gets boring after a while. I think every good hotel has a pool, the hotels directly at the beach do too.

Absolut right. I think

Absolut right.

I think snow white is right, because I always spent my holidays with my girlfriend in Asia and we love to go to Samui. Somebody, who spents his entire holiday on the beach and shows no interest in the cultural things is poor.

Next time we come we want to see the Art Palace. It sounds like a great place to have a nice evening, cause Chaweng with all its bars is always the same.

Can we go there, if we are no hotel guest?
