Tanzania to Cape Town - best route?
Looking to travel overland under my own steam from Tanzania to Cape Town. Planning a week to psyche up in Pemba - but then what is my best route? Looking to avoid cities and keep rural / coast wherever possible. Is there anywhere, particularly in Mozambique, I should be going to?
My suggestion would be that you head for East London or Port Elizabeth once you are in South Africa. Follow the 'Garden Route' from there all the way to Cape Town. One of the most scenic and enjoyable.
