I assume the reason nobody is answering is that this is a tough question to answer. It really depends more on you and your sense and grasp of a situation than on the place you take your images to.

An example: I am sure that you are safer in certain areas in Morocco, especially those that are designated tourist areas and controlled by police than in certain places in Los Angeles.

I usually check the US Department of State Website. Their Morocco page still includes warnings, which means I wouldn't take children to Morocco.
