Where do you get your inspiration for your travels?

Where do you get your inspiration for your travels?

Where do you get your inspiration for your travels?
Is it from seeing pictures in glossy magazines?
From seeing offers in the travel agent's window?
From hearing the tales of others who have traveled?
From the internet? Or from somewhere else?

What inspires you to travel? Cool

Television

I watch a lot of travel shows on TV. Most of them are pretty crappy but some have some perls of information in them.

Most of the stuff I find online though.

What inspires me to travel:

I want to see and do as much as possible. Life is short and at some point I am going to have children or be old and not be able to do all the things I love.

I want to see the world in all its beauty before it is destroyed by greed of man.

I want to leave my busy life behind for a few days and concentrate on discovery.

Often from documentaries we see on TV. If they look interesting we’ll start looking around on the Internet if it can be done and if the whole region is interesting. If that’s the case, we go for it .... I’m also a member of  Traveler videos. The site is  travelervideos.com. They have a large collection of videos and I recommend the sites to travel lovers.

I don't need inspiration.

I don't need inspiration.  I have always wanted to travel.  When I was a child, I liked "Heidi" because it was in Switzerland.  The only one of those little Golden Books that my mother read to me that stuck in my head was about a little girl in Bali who was learning to dance.

I get ideas from everywhere.  Other travelers, forums, museum exhibits, restaurant menus.  My reaction to an Argentinian restaurant opening in my neighborhood was, "Argentina.  Hmmm, I've never been there."

I am not sure that I am

I am not sure that I am actually looking for inspiration, but there are certain things that influence me: TV shows, travel pictures I see somewhere on the net, people telling me about great places, and last but not least, my better half, who is even 'crazier' about traveling the world than I am.
